Listen to me very closely young entrepreneur; I will only say this once: choose the red pill and you wakeup in the morning inside your nice mansion with a so-so business that youre proud of, but you know it couldve been better but you dont really care about changing the world like you once did OR take the blue pill and wakeup in the morning with a head full of magnificent ideas that can lead to the changing of the world by producing something never before seenwakeup with the energy, passion, and ambition to make something unfathomable, something mind-blowing. Which pill would you take? The pill that leads to instant wealth with a so-so/decent business or the pill that can potentially unlock new doors for mankind through innovative, original, and unique ideas/concepts? I dont know about you guys, but Im thinking BIG so Id have to go with the blue pill. For many, the red pill would be their drug of choice, but whats the fun in living a life of mediocrity, especially knowing that you couldve done so, so, much more but instead you settled for less? But this isnt the matrix and there are no magical red and blue pills that entrepreneurs can take to change the outcomes of their lives. In reality, the pills many not exists but the same choices exist nonetheless. Ive touched upon the concept of finding the reason "WHY" (visit www.cashcampus.com/ftt for related article) you are an entrepreneur in a previous post, but lets now take a look into why some entrepreneurs plan for magnificence and some plan for mediocrity. Gulpdown goes the blue pill As entrepreneurs, many of us are scared to think big. We are scared to close our eyes and think about the possibility of someday being bigger than Bill Gates; we are scared to think about one day being more influential than Oprah Winfrey; we are scared to think that our companies can change the way people think. In order to achieve massive success and create world-changing ideas, you have to really believe that you can. Now that may sound simple, but it really isnt. To be honest, it took me a long time to actually convince myself that I could potentially amass more wealth and create a bigger company than Bill Gates one day. I mean why not, we both have minds, right? It took a long time for me to think that I can create something that helps mankind and changes the way people live on Earth. Now, I am not saying that I actually will achieve more wealth than Gates and become more influential that Oprah one day, but that doesnt really matter because thats where my bar has been set: the highest! Higher than the highest! My grandma always told me to set your hat where you can reach it. Well no disrespect grandma, but I cant subscribe to that mediocre way of thinking. I will not set my hat where I can reach it, Im going to throw that hat into the sky as high as I can, because my success cant be measured by what I think that I can accomplish. That just wont work because Im not thinking with limitsthe sky is the limit. We have to be able to remove all of the limiting factors that haunt our minds. All of the thoughts of becoming comfortable and playing it safe with our businesses. Conformability wont change the world, my friends. Its going to be a long, hard, and painful (and of course, fun) experience in our quests to create something really great. If you dont want to endure the pain to create something big enough to change the world, then take a step back, go get a manicure, and a nice massage. You wont experience any pain and struggles, no worries for you. But on that same note, youll never make anything big happen in your life. Gulpdown goes the red pill Yeahyeahyeah youre sitting pretty in your mansion, you have your so-so business that never changed the world, and your drive to innovate and create has been extinguished along with you passion for entrepreneurism. My friend, you never thought big and as a result you never truly reached your goals in life not even close. So what, you have some nice materialistic things that you think defines true success, but they really dont. As entrepreneurs, we cant think of our efforts to become successful as means to simply make some cash and sit comfortably in our nice homes, we have to think above and beyond that. I mean, isnt that the whole point of being an entrepreneur: changing the world and solving problems? I think so, at least. I have no doubt that there will always be that majority of entrepreneurs that are doing things that they arent really passionate about to turn a quick buck and possibly make some serious cashflow one day, all knowing that they arent in the game to change the world, but to increase their wallet size. I have always told people to : * 1.) find something that you love * 2.) change the world with that something * 3.) try and hard as you can to make a lot of money doing that Notice how the money part came last. Its imperative that youre doing something that you have a lot of passion for, because in doing so you can and will change the world. Do that, and the money will come dont worry. Never settle Never settle for less, just keep on wanting more. That may sound like greed, but it isnt. Greed for change is good its necessary. You can change this world but it all starts with a thought; a thought that enables you believe that you can; without it, you cant. Life is too short to think small. Think big and get big results. Its scary thinking that big, I know. But lets do it together. After enough time passes and big things start to happen with your business, youll soon see the power of how you think directly reflecting the outcome of your business. And youll see that you made the right choice by taking the blue pill. The pill that set you free from mediocrity and living I life filled with what-ifs and how-comes. And if your eyes hurt after taking the blue pill dont worry, thats just because youve been blind in seeing your true potential and what you can really amount to in life. You can see now, so make it happen. |
