The Center for Global Research recently released an interesting report about the purposeful negative stereotypes against Muslims in mass media. The snooping of 100 Muslim related sites such as mosques and Islamic centers wasnt designed to protect the country from dirty bombs but to stigmatize Muslims as dangerous and subversive. The message is, dont be around Muslims, dont live near them, and dont associate with them. CNN was named as a branch of the 4th Army PSYOPS department which is considered to be staffed by the National Security Councils Office of Public Diplomacy (OPD). According to the Fairness & Accuracy in Reporting Agency one division of the PSYOPS has been closed since the Iran-Contra Scandal but the 4th Division is still working unhindered. Furthermore, the agency reports that military officials were working within CNN and were pushing for a more comprehensive program that would control complete satellite networks during times of adversity. There is some indication that many of the politicians pushing for such a program are associated with either right wing Christian conservatives or with the Jewish lobby. "Along with Feith, all of the political appointees have in common a close identification with the views of the right-wing Likud Party in Israel," says Jim Lobe. As CIA director James Woosley indicated that the parties involved are preparing for war! The confirmation of these details is difficult at best. However we can ascertain that the current political structure allows for a high level of abuse. Lobbyists are allowed to put forth candidates, convert politicians with large amounts of money, and able to visibly support other nations that break U.N. sanctions. It is therefore easy to conclude that one of the most powerful lobby groups (i.e. Israel) could potentially control the information being fed to the public in a social psychological manner. If such reports are true American Muslims must be even more diligent in getting their voices heard through the muck of hatred and falsity. Such action requires diligent writing, lobbying, protest and reporting to turn public opinion against such methods. If the American public knew that they were purposely being lied too they would demand action and prosecution of illegal activity. Is it our time to stand up for what we believe? |
