Can we predict Earthquakes, if not now when? Is there a way to warn people 30 seconds before a big quake to they can seek safety under a desk, away from over passes and windows? Well, we do know that before an Earthquake there are changes in the earth's normal resonance, as small waves are started. Animals are said to pick these up at least 8-24 hours ahead of time. If they can do it, then why can't we? Well, perhaps we can and yes I have a plan. We use the vibrational energy to light up LED bright lights. That is to say when the first waves appear a warning light would begin to get brighter. One could simply put this in a Corporation at the security desk or on the shelf at home, perhaps on the ceiling in the bedroom and the system would work with or without the power on and no batteries needed. How so you ask? There is new invention that can power up flashlights using electromagnetic induction technology to charge a capacitor instead of working off a battery. Currently there are some nifty micro-flashlights being used which you can buy which use a similar technique and are available thanks to the Everlite Flashlight technology research lab. These smaller flashlights work by shaking them for about thirty seconds and shine for about 6 minutes and they shine quite bright since they use a very bright LED light. Generally you have about thirty minute warning window when things begin to change and just before the Earthquake there are signs about 30 seconds prior. Perhaps this is a good way to save lives and if so, what a great invention it could be? Think on this. |
