Oral-B Toothbrush Review

Oral hygiene is a simple fact of life. If you take care of your teeth, they will take care of you. There are the basics of brush at least once a day, floss regularly, and see your dentist twice a year. On the recommendation of our dentist, my wife and I have been using the Oral-B toothbrush and here are my thoughts on this product.

The Oral-B tooth brush provides better coverage than a standard toothbrush. This is due to the fact that you are moving the brush while it is also rotating the brush head. This additional action means the tooth surface is better cleaned.

Our model also has a two minute timer. This means that once started the brush will run for two minutes. It has been shown that this is the optimal time to properly clean your teeth. If you don't have this model, I encourage you to get a simple egg timer and brush your teeth for a minimum of two minutes each day.

We have had a very good track record with battery charge life. We recently went of vacation and the brush held its charge for the 6 day trip without recharging. The included both of us using it on a daily basis. We are on our second brush, the first one started having trouble holding the charge after about four years.

The brush refill life depends on the person. My wife seems to have them last longer than I do. The brushes have a blue tint to them that fads as you use them. Mine fade faster than hers. It works out well because the come in packages of three (not sure why) but that allows me to use two when she uses the other one. I would estimate that they last me about two months and her maybe three to four months.

I believe that the use of the Oral-b (or even other electric tooth brushes) is superior to standard brushes. The additional coverage, the two minute timer, and the great battery life make them a worth while purchase. Good luck and good health.
